Hot Water Service Leaking?
At the base, where the water inlet pipe is, There should be a black valve or a tap. Turn the water off here and this will stop the water pressure flowing in or out of your leaking Hot Water Service. You can leave your mains water meter on and just turn this black valve on when you need a hot water.
Burst Pipes:
Turn Mains Water off at meter until plumber arrives.
If the toilet needs to be flushed during this time, simply fill a bucket with rainwater and pour into toilet pan.
Blocked Pipes:
Toilets/showers blocked or gurgling etc:
You may need a plumber with an electric drain cleaning machine.
Or
Your septic tank may be full and needs emptying by a qualified expert.
SA Water Meter will not turn off:
You need to contact SA Water on 1300 880 337 (24hr).
